Hale Iki, a tiny house in Volcano

A little info:

Hale Iki is officially a tiny house! Unlike many homes on wheels, this one stays put. It also has a bed on the main floor, which means no steep ladders to climb down in the middle of the night. It is spacious and light, and nestled into a clearing for a very private feel.

This little house is completely off-grid. Electric is by solar and water is by catchment. Because we are so far off the road, there is no wifi or internet, and the cell signal can be spotty. Think of it as the universe telling you to relax and unplug, sit by the fire and have a glass of wine!

Keep in mind this is the rainforest, so with that comes unpredictable weather and a multitude of wildlife. It has been said there are a “hundred birds” singing in the morning, and we often have pestering pigs graze through in the middle of the nights to mess up the lawn. It’s all part of island life and we love it!

“What a perfect little spot of paradise! Beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and every amenity thought of. Even the pancake mix and coffee provided was a nice surprise for my morning breakfast on the lanai.
